Hi Paul & Lisa
The only guide to go to for Canadian carp fishing is Paul Hunt, A lovely bloke who puts his customers first and has unrivalled knowledge of the St Lawrence River system. I landed loads of wild carp to 37lb+ Definitely well recommended if you're thinking of booking a trip to Canada.
Hi Paul & Lisa
I've been out to Paul and Lisa in Canada 3 times and what a superb set up. Super hosts, great location on the mighty St.Lawrence and the chance to get a real bend in your rod. If you like your Carp Fishing why go anywhere else! 5 stars.
Hi Paul & Lisa
What can I say I was surprised by my wife as a present. So off I went on my adventure. First impression was amazing I was picked up and dropped back to the airport by Lisa in a air condtioned van. Paul and Lisa run a very nice business out in Canada from the lovely home in which they let you stay to the endless knowledge that Paul has about the st Lawrence river he knows where the fish are all the time excellent guide. After a days fishing you go back unwind and have a lovely home cooked meal. I would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of trying it.
Hi Paul & Lisa
I have been to Paul and Lisa 6 times and the welcome is fantastic; food and house top class. I am going Sept this year and already booked for next year too. This was only going to be a one off but once you get the bug you are BOOKED! Fishing is fantastic and Paul's knowledge is brilliant. Biggest fish was 40lb 8oz, hope to top that this year! It doesn't matter if you're on your own like me or with a group, you always find everyone to be friendly and ready to share stories.
Hi Both
At Canadian Carpin Holidays you can expect great hospitality from Lisa and Paul with great home cooked food after a brilliant days fishing on the St Lawrence River. The accommodation is superb, clean and comfortable and there is always a beer in the fridge Whether you are a novice or a hardened carp fisherman you won't be disappointed. The equipment and Paul's knowledge of the river is exceptional. I am returning as part of a group of 10 for the third year running in June.
Hi Both
I think my first visit to CCH was in 2000, from then I was addicted have PBs yearly, Had a fantastic time on all visits and hope to visit again some time soon.
Hi Paul & Lisa
My dad and I wanted an all inclusive carp holiday with a guide who could put us on fish...AND HE DID! With two PBs for both of us 36lb+s, top notch accommodations, scenic swims, and not just numbers but large fish too. We got all of that, plus more. Paul is a real professional and Lisa made some of the best meals I've ever had. Can't wait to go back into Canada for more CCH.

Hi Paul
When someone mentions a fishing getaway / guide / charter, what usually comes to mind? Shoddy gear, a guide with less than adequate knowledge of the water and the species of choice, frozen food and questionable accommodations. I can tell you, that in canada and north america, carp fishing is very maligned. Having been at this for a while, I've seen just how hated the carp is in Canada. So when I found this company, I was very, very skeptical about how the whole experience would be knowing that carp fishing is so underground / unpopular in north america. Well, I was wrong. The price is extremely, the accomdations are legitimately nicer than any hotel you could stay at. It's clean, nicely furnished and extremely inviting to the obsessed carper with pictures of tremendous captures all over the walls and a plethora of magazines to read. The food, is all home cooked, and not from a can or a box. (had the most delicious curry on my stay!) A fresh sandwhich and other lunch box snacks are provided for the day on the water as well. (sandwiches made exactly how you like them and unlimited snacks to take with!!). The gear is extremely well suited to the north american conditions. These arent syndicate boilie fed carp. These are long, lean, hard fighting wild river carp, and thus need very heavy and durable gear. Rods and reels are in great shape and not off brand garbage that will ensure you do in fact lose that fish of a life time. Proper shimano reels, and various known name branded european carp rods. Having fished for years on wild waters for years, i was impressed that the gear properly matched the conditions. However, to me, the best part of this trip is the Paul Hunt's guiding. This guy just knows carp fishing. Like, he oozes it. He knows the waters like the back of his hand. His suggestions will catch you fish. I can attest to this. He pushed me out of my comfort zone with rigs and baits and it paid off in dividends. If you listen, you will catch a PB. I did. He's also not a bad guy to banter with and cool to be around. No "carp anglers ego" with Mr hunt. OVerall, this a top class operation from top to bottom. If you're thinking about proper wild carp fishing, come here. I booked my next trip the last day of my trip. That's how good this is.
Hi Paul
It anywhere. It's been a few years, but had a few beers, a few tears (laughter), good food and I got chauffered to my swim where I even caught a few carp then chauffered home again for evening on it. My personal highlights after chuming up the swims with maize was to captain the boat. Cheers Paul & Lisa So if want my advice get on the rolling rock in the autumn and have some, sun, warmer river to swim in and some big river commons.
Hi Paul
Ive been out with Paul twice, once in the bays and once on the rolling rock. Amazing fishing, some of the best I have experienced fishing around the world. The digs and food are second to none. Some 5 star hotels do not match the standard that Paul sets. Blooming amazing, and should be on every carp anglers bucket list!
Hi Paul
Amazing carp fishing great food and accommodation, can't wait to get back out to CCH.
Hi Paul
If your thinking of booking do so! It’s wild Carpin at it's best. Paul and Lisa are fantastic hosts and can’t do enough for you. The accommodation is 5 star plus. Mealtime is really really good home cooked food and brilliant stories of fishing adventures by Paul at the table. All you have to do is get up in the morning and walk to the waiting transport. Paul’s knowledge is second to none and he always gives his best advice and puts you on the fish. Tackle and bait all supplied and is of a good standard. Both Paul and Lisa really give you the Canadiancarpin experience that cannot be bettered. I have been six times now and can’t wait for my seventh. Don’t think about it “just book it” you will not regret it. Thanks Paul & Lisa for a fantastic holiday experience, see you soon Mike B.
Hi Paul
Amazing place , top quality accommodation and tackle , matched with great hosts and guiding. For wild common carp in Canada with the odd mirror you won’t match it anywhere.
Hi Paul
Awsome holiday plenty caught and the food is great...guiding was spot on highly recommend.
Hi Guys
Had a brilliant week landing 100 carp, lots of big fish, great hospitality! Can’t wait to come back!.

A Carp Angler should do this at least once in a lifetime.
Hi Guys
My partner Paul and I have just returned from 2 great weeks with Paul and Lisa at Canadian Carpin for the last week in June and first week of July. I bought this as a special birthday present for my Paul as he is a lifelong carp angler and wanted to fish for wild carp on the St Lawrence river. From the moment we arrived at the River Rock nothing was too much trouble for Paul and Lisa to make our stay the best. Our couples room with private bathroom was very comfortable. Lisa made sure that our dietary needs were taken care of and now that I am back home am missing having my lovely salads and packed lunch each day, along with the evening meals which were ready for us at the table. It was interesting each evening to hear the tales of fishing from that day, and all of Paul Hunt’s own experiences of fishing and travelling. Paul and Lisa certainly are great hosts for the holiday. I have been fishing for small fish home in England with my partner Paul, and caught one or two carp in the past, so decided to opt to fish with my Paul each day, rather than being a non-fishing partner, having a few days off during our two weeks. I am so glad I decided to do that as the experience of catching a wild carp and releasing it back whilst in the river yourself is really very special. We fished each day on the banks of the St Lawrence after Paul Hunt advised us on where was best to fish, based on his vast knowledge and experience of these fish and their habitat. Even a novice like me came to realise that what Paul doesn’t know about carp fishing isn’t worth knowing. I learned to tie my own rigs and the first ever rig, even with a tiny loop and a smirk from my Paul, helped him to catch one of the biggest carp of the holiday! During our stay we had a few days off. One day we both went to the historical Upper Canada Village (Lisa and Paul dropped us off there and collected us) and another day Lisa took me to shop at Merrickville, (ladies if you like shopping then this is a very new experience as there is nowhere like this in England!). Paul and Lisa also took us out for Canada Day to see a concert in Cornwall which was great. This review is obviously more from a partner’s perspective than an angler’s but I know that my Paul was very impressed by the whole set up: good fishing gear and tackle, the best source of knowledge from Paul Hunt, and a perfect setting for fishing for wild carp that have never been caught before. So ladies, don’t miss out and get along to Canadian Carpin- it’s not just for boys! You can choose to fish or not to fish, it’s up to you. You have to be up early but that is more than made up for by the astonishing sunrises. Thanks Paul and Lisa for a very special time. We are already booked in for next September and looking forward to another brilliant holiday in a great country, with the best hosts. *****
Hi Paul
I had an amazing time totally enjoyed myself catcting loads of wild carp to 30+ and the weather in June was spot on, and cannot fault a thing *****...Hope to see you guys soon.

Hi Paul, CCH.
I have been traveling to
Canada for over 7 years with Paul and if you are
thinking of going I highly recommend it. I have
been to France and several venues across Europe
but nothing is like Canada.in all the time I
have been going at all different times of the
season I have only blanked 1 day.Every other day
I have had multiple catches, on some days I have
lost count of the number of fish I have caught.
The new house is first class and food is
10 out of 10. Can't wait to return again. ✌
Hi Paul.
I have been travelling to
Canada to fish with Canadian Carpin Holidays for
the last 6 years and cannot recommend it highly
enough, everything is taken care of for you, all
you need to do is book your flight and arrive
with your clothes that's it, your even collected
from the airport.The accommodation
*****, food,
tackle, guiding service is top class and the
fishing Is on another level. YOU WILL NOT
EXPERIENCE ANYTHING LIKE IT IN THE UK, hundreds
of 20-40lb wild carp that fight for there lives
and numerous 40s caught on the st Lawerence
every year and they do go bigger. Whether
traveling alone, in groups or with partners ,
this will be a holiday you won't forget, get it
booked ASAP!. ✌
Hi Paul.
It's been 15 years and 15 trips to
the mighty St Lawrence river being guided &
hosted by
Paul. I travel all over the world with my
fishing, but keep coming back for what is a
fantastic fishing holiday experience. The power
and speed of the hard fighting commons is
incredible and there are a few beautiful mirrors
floating around if you are lucky enough to catch
one! The fishng tackle supplied is all top end
gear and the food is as good as I have had
anywhere. ✌
Hi Paul.
I went to Canada a few years
ago for the first time with my Mum & Dad and a
few friends who had been there before Paul couldn't do enough for us they pick you up
at the airport take you back to there beautiful
Home The fishing is amazing Paul's great
knowledge of the St Lawrence had us catching
loads of fish Then after a days fishing we
return to River Rock and enjoy home cooked food
was delicious and excellent
portion size whilst sitting down for dinner we
tell each other what we had caught that day and
if we had any other stories to tell and if we
had seen any wildlife whilst we was on the bank
I'm going back to Canadian Carpin this October
hoping to break my PB and catch few more wild
carp. xx
Hi Paul.
Paul is the best at what he
does - simple as that!! He knows where the fish
are throughout the year and works hard to get
anglers the best results. I had a great time on
the St. Lawrence and caught well every day!!
with 113 carp -13 over 30lb+ ✌✌
Hi Paul.
Canadian Carpin' is the best
Carp fishing in the world! Next september I am
going for my fifth time. Canada had the
strongest carp I have ever catched. The mighty
Saint Lawrence River with the most beautiful
swims, wildlife and nature. You are fishing like
in a dream! Best carp, best swims, best hosts,
best carp holiday! You definitely have to do
this with Paul who has the best knowledge of the
Saint Lawrence!.
So don't hasitate and book the Carp holiday of
your life! Candian Carpin' is just mental!
Paul of Candian
gebied. Mooie natuur met prachtige stekken op de
rivier. Lisa zorgt voor heerlijk eten en het
verblijf is ontzettend luxe.
ervaring! ✌
Hi Paul.
Forget all those foreign fish in land
locked lakes - feel the excitement of fishing
for truly wild St. Lawrence river carp. I’ve
been fortunate to visit Paul Canadian
Carpin Holidays operation on a number of
occasions over the years. It’s such an
adventure, the vastness of the river, the power
of the carp in running water all set in a
backdrop that is truly special. Paul are
the very best of host from Paul knowing the
river like the back of his hand to the
remarkable accommodation and food - simply put the whole experience is
unforgettable ✌
Hi Paul.
I've fished with Paul
twice and can honestly say they are the most
amazing hosts you will ever meet and the fishing
is just insane once those carp take your bait
they will strip 100yrd of line off your reels
before you can stop them and the surroundings
are just out of this world ✌✌✌✌✌
Hi Paul,
I would like to say a big thank you
Paul for making us feel very
welcome and really making a great fishing
holiday for us both, Thomas has not stopped
talking about it all day and has asked me can we
book again. Obviously i will be coming in May 14
and also i will take a look and discuss with
wife regarding another trip later in 14 for
myself and my 8 year old son tom, once again a
big thanks to you both for everything.
Hi Paul.
My brother Wayne and I have
just returned from our two week trip at Canadian
Carpin Holidays. We would like to thank our
host Paul for he's excellent
hospitality and all the other guests we met
that made our our fishing a memorable one. In
total we caught 172 fish...weighing in at
3454lbs an average of just over 20lbs per fish.
The largest at 34.08 and the smallest at 10.00.
The weather was unusually very warm for June and
on some days the fishing was slow but with
Paul's encouragement we all caught good bags of
fish. Will be back next year and hope to meet up
with some of the guests we met this year, the
accommodation and food was 5 Star
Hi Paul
For five years running now I
have had the pleasure of fishing with Canadian
Carpin Holidays:-) 5 * Accommodation, 5 * Food,
5 * Hosts, 5 * Fishing. A true jewel in Canada's
Crown.
Hi Paul
"To anyone thinking of
going to Canada to carp fishing firstly do not
worry about all that money and the risk of
blanking - you will catch more carp than you
could dream of back home - its a fabulous
experience. We have been several times with
different providers before finding CCH, Paul and without doubt the care, equipment and
the whole fishing experience with them is second
to none. We have already booked our second
trip with them".
Hi
Paul
I look at for a different carpin
holiday, I came up with Canadian Carpin Holiday.
checked it out on youtube, it sounded kinda
unreal, pick up, meals, tackle, baited swims,
travel to the swims etc. Ok we booked. Just like
the advert it does what it says on the tin! We
were picked up from the Airport with a
nice smile and polite, every ok. Paul provide
all carp tackle and tells you how to fish the
swim. We caught a huge 845lb of carp in one day
session. If people reading this are kinda like ok
don't believe this, Paul's expertise and super
knowledge of fishing the St Lawrence river was
the best!.Just do it!
Hi Paul,
Just a quick thankyou for looking
after me in 2011, that's 6 trips now, some more
challenging than others, but every trip with the
outstanding quality of Hospitality,
Accommodations, Tackle, Guiding, and of course
the wonderful cooking, Cant wait for my re
visits to start with you in May, and I have
booked my carpin holidays for 2013, 2014, 2015,
2016 too, My biggest to now is 37lb+ but
hopefully that Magical dream of a St. Lawrence
river 40 will become a reality.
Hello Paul,
The first time we
visited was far more than we ever expected with
527 carp between the five of us with 50 30lb+
caught including 3-40s to 47lb+ and loads /
loads of 20s.Then after a exhausting day
catching the hard fighting St. Lawrence carp we
returned to one of Lisa’s first class evening
meals. Before we left for home we had to book a
trip for the next year and booked the trip for
later in the year so we could fish the dam swims
The fishing was just as hectic with just as many
carp caught again including another 34 30lb+
carp and loads of 20s between us.Each trip
since our first trips has produced 90 to 100
carp per angler.
Hi Paul,
I would just like to say
that my week fishing with you at the River Rock
was one of the best weeks angling I have ever
had. Although I have not managed to get back
sooner I have been singing your praises to
everyone I meet. The takes, if you are old
school like me need to be seen to be believed.
Hospitality, accommodation, food, fishing,
wildlife and scenery were second to none. I will
be out again asap, tight lines.
Dear Paul,
Anyone who is thinking of a
trip that's different to the french experience,
